Watermelon Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. salt
1 qt. cider vinegar
1 pt. cold water
5 lb. sugar
1/2 tsp. oil of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. oil of cloves
2 Tbsp. whole peppercorns
1 piece ginger root
Preparation

First Day:
Make a brine of 3 tablespoons salt and 1 gallon cold water.
Prepare rind by removing all green and red.
Let stand in brine 24 hours.
