Pecan Tarts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
6 oz. cream cheese
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour*
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
12 c. thinly sliced pared apples (about 10 medium)
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
pastry for 9-inch one-crust pie
Preparation
-
Stir together sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt; mix with apples.
Turn into ungreased square 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Dot with butter.
