Cheese Straws - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sharp cheese
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 lb. (3 sticks) cold butter or margarine or use half butter and half margarine
Preparation
    Grate cheese; sift flour, pepper and salt into bowl.
    Cut butter into small pieces and add.
    Blend until coarse crumbs.
    Add cheese and blend until dough hangs together.
    Roll out 1/4 of dough at a time 1/4 inch thick.
    Cut into strips.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0 or until straws are lightly browned.
