Hot German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. potatoes, cooked and chopped
    1 lb. bacon, cooked crisp and broken in pieces
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook margarine and water, stirring constantly.
    Add vinegar, sugar and salt.
    Cook until thick and pour over potatoes and onion.
    Add bacon pieces; stir.
    Serve immediately.
