Dutch Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    7 to 10 apples (skin on), diced
    purple seedless grapes
    miniature marshmallows
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine first 6 ingredients and cook as pudding.
    After it starts to thicken and becomes clear, add butter and vanilla.
    Let cool.
    In larger bowl, combine diced apples, grapes, marshmallows and nuts.
    Pour pudding mixture over and stir to blend.
