Cucumber And Red Onion Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium size cucumbers
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. water
    1 large sweet onion
    pepper to taste
    3/4 c. white vinegar
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    few sprigs fresh dill, chopped or 1/2 tsp. dill seed
Preparation
    Remove ends from cucumbers.
    Slice unpared cucumbers thinly. Mix salt and water; pour over cucumbers.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Drain well.
    Slice peeled onion thinly; separate into rings.
    Toss with cucumbers.
    Combine remaining ingredients.
    Pour over vegetables; toss until well coated.
    Chill.
    Serves 8.
