Apple Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 sweet bell peppers (6 green and 6 red)
    4 cicane peppers
    12 medium onions (6 purple and 6 white)
    12 apples (6 yellow and 6 red)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar (white or brown)
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Chop and cube peppers, onions and apples.
    Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
    Cook until it starts to boil, not until it is mushy.
    Pour into pint jars and seal.
    Great with everything, but best with beans.
