Sweet Potatoes With Apples - cooking recipe

1 c. light brown sugar
2 Tbsp. maple syrup
1 stick margarine
1 large can sweet potatoes, drained (reserve liquid)
1 1/2 c. sliced apples
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 stick margarine
1/2 c. nuts
Preparation

Mix 1 cup light brown sugar, maple syrup, 1 stick margarine with liquid from can of sweet potatoes.
Boil on low until thickened, stirring often.
Add apples and cook until apples are just tender.
Add potatoes and simmer about 10 minutes.
Place in casserole dish.
