Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/4 c. dark molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
granulated sugar
Preparation

Mix together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, ground cloves and salt; set aside.
Mix thoroughly the shortening, brown sugar, egg and molasses; blend in flour mixture.
Chill for 1 hour minimum (or overnight).
