Mexican Cornbread(Serves 8) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 c. margarine, melted
    1 egg
    1 can cream-style corn
    pinch of soda
    1 small box corn muffin mix or 1 1/2 c. corn muffin mix
    1 1/2 c. grated American cheese, divided
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 small jar pimentos
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Mix all ingredients, except cheese. Put half of the mixture in a greased 9-inch square pan.
    Then put 1/2 cup cheese on top.
    Pour in the remaining batter.
    Bake for 45 minutes.
