Scalloped Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 qt. (4 c.) canned stewed tomatoes
    3 c. bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. grated onion
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine butter and bread crumbs.
    Stir to coat crumbs.
    Mix 1/2 the crumbs with remaining ingredients.
    Pour into buttered baking dish.
    Cover with remaining crumbs.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until browned.
