Plain Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    4 to 5 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    Sift together flour and salt.
    Cut in shortening with pastry blender until pieces are size of small peas.
    Add water, one tablespoon at a time.
    Toss with fork until all is moist.
    Gather up to form ball.
    On lightly floured surface, roll to 1/8-inch thick.
    Place in pie pan.
