Ingredients

1 can beets and juice
1 c. cider vinegar
1/3 c. sugar
3 whole cloves
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
8 hard-cooked eggs
Preparation

Put beets and juice in a pan.
Add vinegar, sugar, salt and cloves.
Heat until sugar dissolves.
Cool.
Cook and shell eggs. Put in jar or bowl; pour beets over eggs.
Add water to bring juice over eggs.
Marinate 2 to 3 days, stirring several times.
