Beef And Barley Soup(Crock-Pot Meal) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 to 1 lb. stew beef, thinly sliced
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1/4 c. catsup
    1 qt. water
    1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn and juice
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
    6 stalks celery, sliced
    3 medium onions, chopped
    1/2 c. barley (uncooked)
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 beef bouillon cubes
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. basil
    2 tsp. seasoned salt or 1 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain.
    Put all ingredients in a 4-quart slow cooker and stir.
    Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours.
    Or cook on high for 2 hours, then on low for 4 to 5 hours.
    Or cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
    Makes about 8 servings.
