Bootlegger Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 oz.) can pork and beans (packed in tomato sauce)
    3 strips bacon, diced
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 or 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. ketchup
Preparation
    Fry bacon; when about half done, add onion.
    When onion starts to
    brown,
    pour
    off
    most
    of
    the grease and add the beans, brown sugar and ketchup.
    Stir well, cover the pan with a lid and simmer very slowly for a few minutes.
