Michelena'S Caramel Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. quick rolled oats
48 light caramels
6 Tbsp. cream
4 Tbsp. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation

Cut butter into dry ingredients until crumb mixture forms. Set aside 1 cup.
Press remaining crumbs into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Melt caramels and cream in top of double boiler.
Blend in flour.
Spread over cookie base. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over caramel mixture.
Top with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cut into squares.
