Mint Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. mint chocolate chips (1 c.)
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    dash of salt
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    5 drops food coloring
Preparation
    Preheat oven for 15 minutes to 375\u00b0.
    Beat whites until fluffy.
    Add cream of tartar and sugar slowly, then salt.
    Beat until very stiff.
    Add vanilla and food coloring.
    Fold in mint chocolate chips.
    Drop onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    Put in oven; turn oven off and leave cookies in oven 4 to 5 hours or overnight without opening the oven.
