Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. vegetable shortening
    2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. lukewarm water
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Sift flour, sugar, salt and soda together.
    Cut in shortening. Add yeast and buttermilk.
    Knead well.
    (It may be necessary to knead in more flour.)
    Cut out biscuits and bake at 450\u00b0.
    Dough may be covered and refrigerated for a week.
