Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. syrup
    2 c. peanuts (raw)
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and vinegar in water.
    Cook until mixture spins a thread.
    Add peanuts and cook until all peanuts have popped and mixture turns a gold color.
    Add salt and butter.
    Add soda; stir well.
    Pour on a buttered cookie sheet.
    Cool and break into pieces.
    Makes about 2 pounds.
