Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sliced apples (4 to 5 apples)
    1/4 c. water
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Prepare 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan by greasing well with butter. Arrange sliced apples in bottom of pan.
    Pour 1/4 cup water and 1 tablespoon lemon juice over apples.
    Blend together 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup sifted flour, 1/4 cup butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.
    Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Serve warm with cream.
