Spicy Pecan Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. Bisquick baking mix
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. cold milk
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 egg
2 tsp. sugar

Preparation

Heat oven to 400\u00b0.
Grease 12 medium muffin cups (2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches).
Mix all ingredients, except 2 teaspoons sugar; beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
Divide batter evenly among cups (about 2/3 full).
Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons sugar.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm.
Makes 1 dozen muffins.
