Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. corn oil or canola
    1 c. coarsely chopped onions
    3 cloves garlic
    2 lb. lean ground beef
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    4 (16 oz.) cans chili hot beans
    2 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/2 c. diced green peppers
    1/2 c. mushrooms
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Heat oil in skillet; saute onions, garlic and green peppers until onions become translucent.
    Add ground beef and brown.
    In large pot, combine remaining ingredients.
    Mix in ground beef mixture.
    Cover and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
    Store overnight; reheat to ripen and blend flavors.
