Chocolate Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 (10 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. scalded milk (canned preferably)
    3 slightly beaten egg yolks
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Scald milk; melt the chocolate in the milk and then add the sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Cook until thick.
    Beat the egg yolks and add a small amount of the chocolate mixture to them; stir. Add to the hot mixture.
    Cook a few minutes longer, stirring every few minutes.
    Continue until mix is thick.
    Add butter and vanilla; let cool.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Top with whatever you choose.
    This is for a large pie shell!
