Strawberry Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/8 tsp. salt
    whipped cream
    1 baked pie shell
Preparation
    Crush half of the strawberries with a potato masher or fork; stir in cornstarch, lemon juice, salt and sugar.
    Cook over medium heat until mixture is thickened and clear.
    Cool.
    Slice or cut in halves the remaining strawberries.
    Fold into the cooked mixture.
    Pour mixture into pie shell; chill.
    Cover with whipped cream before serving.
