Italian-Style Pork Chops(Costolette Di Maiate Italiano) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced or 1 (3 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained
3/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 c. tomato juice
4 oz. hot Italian sausage (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Trim excess fat from pork chops.
Mix salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl.
Rub on pork chops.
Heat oil in a large skillet and brown chops on both sides.
Add tomato sauce, green pepper, mushrooms, oregano and tomato juice to skillet.
Stir.
Cover and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes.
(If you add sausage, brown it in a separate pan and drain.
Add to skillet during the last 10 minutes of cooking.)
Serves 4.
