Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. lemon rind, grated (or flavor)
    5 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cream butter at number 7 speed until soft.
    Add sugar gradually and continue beating until thoroughly blended.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time, on number 8 speed.
    Beat thoroughly before adding each egg.
    Blend in flavor; add dry ingredients.
    When all has been added, beat at number 3 speed thoroughly, beating batter.
    Bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 to 325\u00b0.
