Spaghetti Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 oz. spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
2 Tbsp. margarine
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 (15 oz.) jar thick spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
2 c. cottage cheese
4 oz. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation

Cook spaghetti in boiling water; drain.
Place the spaghetti in a greased baking dish.
Stir in margarine, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and beaten egg.
Saute ground beef, onion and green pepper in a large skillet until meat is browned; drain.
Stir into the meat the spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Spread the cottage cheese over the spaghetti.
Top with the meat mixture.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven. Sprinkle Mozzarella over the top; bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese melts.
Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
Serves 6.
