Michie Tavern'S Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 to 3 lb.) cut up fryer
    3 c. shortening
    3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine flour and seasonings and roll the chicken in this mixture.
    Using a Dutch oven or other heavy deep pan, fry chicken in shortening at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes on each side or until tender.
    Serves 4 to 6.
