Green Beans (Or Peas) In Cream Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. fresh green beans, cut into 1-inch lengths
    1 small onion, diced fine
    1 tsp. butter or shortening
    2 tsp. chopped parsley
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
    1 small clove garlic, chopped fine
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Add to beans and stir until thickened.
    Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup heavy cream.
