Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread, crusts removed
    2 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
    1/4 c. finely chopped onion
    8 eggs
    8 to 12 oz. grated cheese
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 tsp. dry mustard
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    mushrooms (optional)
Preparation
    Grease 9 x 12-inch casserole dish.
    Line bottom with bread. Sprinkle cheese over bread.
    Add sausage on top of cheese.
    Beat eggs, 1 cup of milk, mustard, onion, salt and pepper and pour over bread.
    Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
    This is a must!!
    Remove from refrigerator.
    Mix soup with remaining 1/4 cup milk and spread on top of casserole.
    Bake, covered, 1 hour at 300\u00b0, then uncovered for 30 minutes.
