Ribbon Jello - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 or 7 (3 oz.) pkg. Jell-O (different colors)
    1 pt. sour cream
    1/2 pt. whipped topping
Preparation
    Add 1 cup boiling water to 1 package Jell-O in a small stainless steel bowl; stir to dissolve.
    Pour half of Jell-O in a 9 x 13-inch pan and place on level shelf in fridge to chill.
    Set the small metal bowl with remaining dissolved Jell-O in a large bowl of ice.
