Western Winter Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/4 c. corn oil
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    3 c. pimiento-stuffed olives
    1 medium skinned apple
Preparation
    Core, rinse and drain lettuce; chill.
    Combine sour cream, oil, vinegar, onion, sugar, salt and thyme.
    Chill if you wish. Cut olives into halves; tear lettuce into bite size pieces (5 cups).
    Core and dice apple; toss with lettuce, olives and cream mixture in salad bowl.
    Serve at once.
