Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. sweet milk
    1 c. plus 4 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour and make hole as for making biscuits.
    Add eggs, sugar, vanilla and shortening.
    Work together in flour until sugar does not feel grainy on hands.
    Work dough well.
    Roll out small pieces and pat thin in hand, or roll thin with rolling pin and cut with cutter.
    Put on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes until golden brown.
