Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/3 to 1 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup
    3 c. whipping cream
Preparation
    Mix together and boil sugar, Karo and 1 cup of whipping cream to 236\u00b0 on candy thermometer.
    Add 1 cup cream; boil to 236\u00b0 again.
    Add final cup of cream and boil to 240\u00b0.
    Remove from heat.
    Add 2 teaspoons vanilla and 2 cups chopped pecans (optional).
