Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. grated or chopped carrots
    1/2 c. celery, chopped fine
    1 c. potatoes, in 1/2-inch cubes
    2 c. water
    1 can cream-style corn (16 oz. or 2 c.)
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. dried parsley
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion in oil.
    Cook rest of vegetables in 2 cups water for 10 minutes or until soft.
    Add cooked onion, corn, milk and butter.
    Add seasonings with salt and pepper to taste.
    Makes 8 cups of soup.
    This can be frozen.
