Shrimp With Pea Pods Stir-Fry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. dry sherry
1/2 c. chicken broth
3 Tbsp. salad oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. medium shrimp, shelled
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods, thawed
1 can water chestnuts, drained and thinly sliced
3 green onions, thinly sliced
Preparation

Mix cornstarch and ginger.
Blend in soy, sherry and broth. Set aside.
Place wok over high heat.
When wok is hot, add oil. When oil is hot, add garlic and shrimp.
Stir-fry 1 minute.
Add peas and stir-fry for about 2 minutes if fresh or 30 seconds if frozen.
Add water chestnuts and green onions.
Stir to mix.
Add cornstarch mixture and stir until it boils and thickens (about 1 minute).
