Chicken Curry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/3 c. onion, chopped
    1/4 c. butter
    2-1/2 to 3 lb. chicken or chicken breasts
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 c. chicken broth
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 to 3 tsp. curry powder
    1 medium Granny Smith apple, chopped
    3/4 c. half and half cream
Preparation
    In large skillet brown mushrooms and onion in butter, remove and set aside. In same skillet brown chicken in oil, add broth. Cover and cook 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Remove chicken from skillet, combine flour and curry powder with liquid remaining in pan. Cook until just thickened, then add mushroom mixture, apple, half and half and chicken. Heat through. Serve with rice and desired accompaniments: chutney, coconut, chopped peanuts, raisins or crisp bacon bits. Yield: 5 or 6 servings.
