Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. lard
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cold water
    1 or 2 well beaten eggs
    2 envelopes dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water
    6 to 8 c. flour
Preparation
    Put lard, sugar and salt in 1 cup boiling water.
    Cool.
    Add 1 cup cold water, eggs, dissolved yeast and enough flour to handle. Knead well.
    Put into a greased bowl and cover tightly. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
    Work into any desired shape.
    Let raise 2 to 3 hours.
    Bake at 350\u00b0
    for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Dough can be shaped into doughnuts and fried after they have raised.
