Padre Simboli'S Red Clam Sauce For Linguine - cooking recipe

4 cans chopped clams
1 can whole clams
6 large cloves garlic
1/4 c. olive oil
2 (29 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (29 oz.) can tomato puree
4 oz. tomato paste
1/2 to 1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 Tbsp. basil
1 Tbsp. sugar
4 heaping Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

In large Dutch oven (saucepan) saute garlic.
When garlic is lightly brown, add tomato sauce, tomato paste and tomato puree, clams with juice and all seasonings.
When hot add Parmesan cheese.
Simmer about 25 to 35 minutes.
