Holubtsi - Stuffed Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 head cabbage (2 1/2 to 3 lb.)
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 large onion
    1 c. mushrooms
    3 Tbsp. oil
    2 Tbsp. chopped dill
Preparation
    Fry onions and mushrooms slightly; add onions, mushrooms, salt, pepper and dill to rice.
    Steam cabbage. Cut thick part of cabbage leaf.
    Place ball of rice mixture in cabbage leaf and roll as for a jelly roll, pushing ends with fingers.
    Put in roaster. Cover with tomatoes (1 large can or 2 pounds fresh tomatoes, strained).
    Add 1 cup water.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
