Luncheon Shrimp Curry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. cleaned raw shrimp
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 (16 oz.) can applesauce
    4 cans condensed cream of celery soup
    1 (6 oz.) can broiled, sliced mushrooms, undrained
    2 Tbsp. curry powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Halve the shrimp lengthwise.
    Cook onion and celery in butter until almost tender.
    Stir in next 5 ingredients.
    Add shrimp. Simmer uncovered, stirring frequently, about 10 minutes.
    Serve over hot cooked rice.
    Makes 10 to 12 servings.
