Apple Potato Pork Chops - cooking recipe

6 lean pork chops
6 White Rose potatoes
6 pippin apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
garlic salt
pepper
1 large brown onion
Preparation

Heat oven to 450\u00b0.
Season pork chops with garlic salt and pepper.
Brown in hot skillet. Wash the potatoes and slice in rounds. Peel and slice apples in wedges.
Slice onion in rounds. Layer in buttered 9 x 13-inch pan in order: potatoes (salt and pepper), onion, chops, apples.
Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sprinkle over the apples. Cover and bake 20 to 25 minutes.
Lower oven temperature to 325\u00b0 and bake for another 45 minutes.
Uncover to baste and brown.
