Shepard'S Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. fat
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 c. cooked or canned peas and carrots
    2 c. seasoned hot, mashed potatoes
Preparation
    Brown beef in hot fat.
    Add onions and green pepper, cook until tender, but not brown.
    Stir in soup and place in a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Sprinkle peas and carrots over.
    Arrange mashed potatoes in a ring on top, allowing filling to show through and drizzle melted butter over top.
    Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven (350\u00b0) until heated through, about 25 minutes.
