Mulligan Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    2 soup cans water
    3 onions
    1 lb. cubed beef
    1 can (10 1/2 oz.) tomato soup
    3 carrots
    3 potatoes
Preparation
    Brown meat in shortening.
    Add soup, water and salt.
    Cook, covered, until tender.
    Add carrots, potatoes and onions.
    Cook until done.
