Southern Coconut Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. almond extract
    2/3 c. Baker's moist toasted coconut
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation
    Blend butter, sugar and salt.
    Add eggs, syrup and flavorings. Stir well.
    Sprinkle coconut over bottom of pie shell.
    Pour in the filling.
    Bake at 375\u00b0
    for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream if desired.
    Makes 8 servings.
