Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. deer meat (of course)
    6 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 medium green pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    salt to taste
    2 1/4 Tbsp. flour
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes or 3 1/2 c. fresh tomatoes, peeled and chopped
    4 Tbsp. red chili powder
    1 tsp. paprika
    1 tsp. cumin powder
    2 cloves
    1 bay leaf
    8 c. water
    2 Tbsp. yellow cornmeal
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil with onion, green pepper and garlic.
    Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, cloves, bay leaf, salt and water. Cover and cook over low heat for 45 minutes.
    Add tomatoes; cook 1/2 hour more.
    Add flour and corn meal until thickened.
