Hot Fruit - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 to 3 apples, peeled and sliced
2 to 3 pears, peeled and sliced
1 pkg. dried apricots
1 box white seedless raisins
2 cans pineapple chunks and juice
20 to 24 oz. jar apple juice
1 tsp. ground ginger or to taste
1/2 c. brown sugar (more if sweeter taste is desired)
1 small jar well-drained maraschino cherries for color (optional)
Preparation

Mix apple and pineapple juices.
Add brown sugar and ginger. Add fruit; simmer until fruit is tender.
Serve warm.
Do not overcook.
