Almond Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
    1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 egg white
    sliced almonds
Preparation
    Beat the margarine, sugar, eggs and extract together until creamy. Add the flour and mix well. Divide dough in half and put in 2 (8-inch) cake or pie tins. Brush with the egg white and sprinkle with sugar and sliced almonds. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
