Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage, shredded coarsely
    1 small pkg. carrots, cut in 1/2-inch chunks
    1/2 small onion, chopped
    4 medium potatoes, cubed
    1 lb. cooked, drained and crumbled sausage
    15 oz. size can tomatoes (juice too)
    1 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together, except cheese and bake, covered, in a slow oven at 300\u00b0 for 3 hours.
    Stir a couple of times during cooking.
    During the last 20 minutes, add cheese and let it melt through casserole.
    Serve with cornbread.
