Apricot Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 2/3 c. flour
    1 egg
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. dried apricots, cooked and drained
Preparation
    Mix butter, granulated sugar and 2 cups flour.
    Press this in bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Beat egg, brown sugar, remaining flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix well. Add vanilla, nuts and apricots.
    Spread over baked layer and bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut into squares.
